There is one thing about going to any music concert. The experience is so much better when you know the lyrics well enough to sing along with the crowd. With Watendawili’s Wozaa World 2 concert fast approaching, fans have a real chance to show up ready.

If you are planning to spend the remaining days revisiting and revising their music, LyFi has you covered.

LyFi’s Watendawili artist profile brings their songs together in one place, making it easier to go through the catalogue and learn the words to the songs you are hoping to hear on stage. Their discography stretches from among others, Double Treble (2023) through En Route (2024) to this year’s Hekaya EP, giving fans plenty of material to work through before the show.

Start with En Route, which includes “Beba,” “Hadi Kesho,” “Aus Nyamombasa,” and “Safari” featuring Shad Mziki, alongside deeper cuts such as “Maovu,” “Mapenzi Yako,” and “Sianda.”

Then there is Double Treble, the 2023 release that gave us “Cham Thum (Atoti),” “Zitunice,” and “Rest of My Life.” And do not skip Hekaya, their 2026 EP, which opens with “Tumia Pesa” and adds another chapter to Watendawili’s storytelling.

A Watendawili show isn’t limited to the duo’s own catalogue, though. Ywaya’s hit single “Chai ya Saa Kumi” is another song worth revisiting. Their collaborations offer even more lyrics to learn, with songs such as “Baki Pekee Yako” by Njerae and “Inakubalika” by Matata available on LyFi too.

Then there is the wider KODONGKLAN connection. Ywaya and Onyach are both part of the collective alongside Bensoul, Okello Max, Mordecai Dex, Coster Ojwang, and Charisma. So if the night takes a detour into KODONGKLAN territory, there is even more music to brush up on.

The assignment is simple. Find Watendawili’s artist profile on LyFi, pick your favourite songs, and start reading. Figure out that line you have been mumbling through, memorise the hook, and show up at MassHouse on 29 August knowing every word.

Because when Wozaa World 2 gets going, you want to be the person singing every song word for word.
